Explore Umred Kharandla Wildlife Sanctuary (UKWLS)
A visit to the jungle during the Nagpur is a must for the non-jungle enthusiast too. Umred Kharandla Wildlife Sanctuary, about 58 km from Nagpur. This Sanctuary has also connection with Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve trough forest along Wainganga River. It is bounded roughly by the Wainganga River and the Gosikhurd Dam on the northeast. It is located 40 km north of Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve and 50 km southwest of Nagzira Wildlife Sanctury . From the last few years, the number of tourists are increasing because it is very close to the Umred and Nagpur city. Tigers are very commonly seen here by many villages around the sanctuary. The sanctuary providing connectivity between like Tadoba, Pench, Bor and Nagzira. It also reduces pressure of tourist from those protected area because they are more Eco sensitive.
The world biggest and famous tiger named Jai was the king of this sanctuary. He has came in the sanctuary from Nagzira. It is also known as a satellite core of Pench Tiger Reserve.

Tiger, Leopard, Wild Dogs, Nilgai, Sambhar Deer, Indian Gaur, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Sloth Bear, Chausingha, Langoors, Oriental Honey Buzzard and beautiful birds (around 170 bird Species).
